Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Babbalark app and the website babbalark.com ("Babbalark", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Babbalark, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Babbalark.

1. Who can use Babbalark

Babbalark is made for parents and caregivers to use together with young children. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create a child profile or to buy a subscription. Children should use the app only with an adult.

2. A learning tool, not medical advice

Babbalark offers general, educational activities to support early language development. It is not a medical service and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any speech, language, hearing or developmental condition. Information about typical milestones is general and every child develops at their own pace. If you are worried about your child's speech or development, please talk to your pediatrician or a licensed speech-language pathologist. Do not delay seeking professional advice because of anything in Babbalark.

3. Subscriptions

Free trial

New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and you will be charged the subscription price shown in the app at the time you started the trial.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account.

How to cancel

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Refunds and price changes

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refund requests are handled by them under their policies. If we change the subscription price, Apple or Google will tell you in advance as required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Family sharing

Where Apple Family Sharing or Google Play Family Library is available, your subscription may be shared with members of your family group.

4. Your license to use Babbalark

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Babbalark for your family's own, non-commercial use, in line with these terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app or its content, or use it to run lessons or a business, unless we agree in writing.

5. Our content

The app, its illustrations, word cards, audio, tips, activities, name and logo belong to Babbalark or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

6. Fair use

Please do not try to break, reverse-engineer or get around the security of Babbalark, or use it in any way that is unlawful or that harms others.

7. Changes to Babbalark

We may add, change or remove features and content to improve Babbalark. If a change significantly reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell you in advance.

8. No warranty

Babbalark is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we do not promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that using it will produce any particular result for your child.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Babbalark is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Babbalark in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be limited by contract.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Babbalark at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously broken.

11. Apple

If you downloaded Babbalark from the Apple App Store, you agree that these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
