Questions parents ask

Who is Babbalark for?

Parents and caregivers of children from about 6 months to 3 years old. The app guides you, and your child learns from you.

Why are some screens only for me?

Children's doctors recommend avoiding screen time before 18 months, apart from video calls. Before 18 months, Babbalark is a guide for you, with words to say and activities with real objects. From 18 months, you can also show your child picture cards together.

Where do the words come from?

Word lists and their order are based on research data on the words young English-speaking children usually understand and say at each age, and on studies of the age at which children master each speech sound.

My child isn't saying words yet. Should I worry?

Every child develops at their own pace. Babbalark is a learning tool and cannot assess your child. If you are concerned, talk to your pediatrician or a licensed speech-language pathologist.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone or iPad: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then Babbalark.
Android: Google Play Store, then your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Babbalark.
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

How do I get a refund?

Payments are handled by Apple or Google, so refunds are requested from them: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, and on Android through the Google Play Store order history.

I got a new phone. How do I get my subscription back?

Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account, open Babbalark, go to Settings and tap "Restore purchases".

How do I delete my child's information?

Everything is stored on your device. Remove the child profile in Settings, or delete the app. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can two parents use the same subscription?

Yes, through Apple Family Sharing or Google Play Family Library, where available.
